WhenusingATcommandsviatelnetordirectserial

hexidecimal.Forexample,iftheIDis27andtheIPis
123.123.123.124,youwouldenteritas
ATMLIST27=123.123.123.124orATMLISTX1B=123.123.123.124.
4. Optional: Dynamic IP Address
IfyoudonothaveastaticIP,thehostmodemshouldbe
configuredtoreportitscurrentIPtoaDynamicDNS(DDNS)
serverwithIPManager.
IntheHostmodem’sconfiguration,insteadofIPaddressfor
theAddrList(ATMLISTorATMLISTX),substituteasingle
uniquenameforeachmodem,i.e.remote1,remote2,etc.
WhenyouconfigureIPManagerforthehostmodem,make
noteofyourmodemnameanddomainsettinginAceManager
inthemenuselectionDynamicIPtobeusedwiththeremote
modems.

WithnamesinsteadofIPaddressesfortheAddressList,the
hostmodemwillquerytheDNSserverforthecurrentIP
addressassignedtothespecificnameofaremotemodemto
sendamessagecorrespondingtotheID.
WhenyouusenamesinsteadofIPaddresses,toensureyour
modemsareupdatedquicklywiththecorrectIPaddressesfor
thenames,youwillwanttosettheDNSsettingsaswell.In
AceManager,selectDNS.
