ALEOSwillreceivethereportsfromaproperlyconfigured
COM1000andaddthestateoftheextrainputstoRAPpackets
senttotheRAPHost.

IfyouarereplacinganexistingPinpointorPinPoint‐Eina
vehiclewithaCOM1000,simplyreplaceearliermodemwith
thewiththePinPoint.TurnonCOM1000reportingwiththe
command*PPCOM1000=1toallow aseamlesstransitionwith
noneedtochangeanycommandstosupporttheCOM1000in
the
sameoperationasthepreviousinstallation.
IfyouhaveanewvehicleinstallationsforthePinPointand
havepreviouslyinstalledPinpointsorPinPoint‐Emodems
plusCOMM1000inother vehicles,connecttheinputsdirectly
tothePinPointandturnoninputreportingwiththecommand
*PPREPORTINPUTS=1.SincethePinPointinputsreportusing
theexactsamebitfields
astheCOM1000,nochangestoyour
softwareshouldberequired.
Caution: If both *PPCOM1000 and *PPREPORTINPUTS are
enabled, the PinPoint X digital inputs will be reported and the
COM1000 inputs will be ignored.
Thereporttypewillindicatethestateofchangeintheinputs.
Thecontentsofthereport willbethesameasReportType0x12
(GPSdatawithdate)or0x13(GPSdatawithdateandRFdata)
withtheadditionoftheeventreport.
FlushonEvent
IfyouhaveStoreandForwardconfiguredandenabled,to
receiveeventreportsimmediatelywhentheyoccur,youwill
wanttoenable*PPFLUSHONEVT.Thiswillcauseallpending
reports,includingthetriggeringevent,tobesentimmediately
totheHost.
