Steps of a connection:
1. WhenyourPinPointXispoweredon,itautomatically
searchesforcellularserviceusingHSDPAorEDGE.
2. YourPinPointXestablishesaPPP(PointtoPointProtocol
or“dial”upconnection)linktotheAT&Tnetwork,also
calledregisteringonthenetwork,andreceivesanIP
address.
3. WhenyourPinPointXhasreceived itsIPaddressfrom
AT&T,aconnectiontotheInternetorthecellularnetwork
isalsoavailableforacomputerorotherdeviceconnected
directlytothePinPointX.
